Drop-in informational session Sept. 8 in room 109 at 7-9pm.
Are you interested in finding something meaningful to do that will put your faith into action?
Since the '80s St. Raphael has taken an active part in Habitat Wake and affordable housing in our area. Then,13 years ago, we joined the newly formed Catholic Coalition/Habitat- Wake and the rest is history! "Since 1985, Habitat Wake has partnered with over 800 families to build homes." In spite of this, THE NEED FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING REMAINS.
It is no secret that the cost of housing is escalating everywhere, especially in our area. The population in our area has grown exponentially as has the cost of lumber, the numbers of unemployed resulting from COVID 19 and the unbelievable overall prices of homes for sale.
Will you join your fellow parishioners as we begin home build #13? No construction, carpentry skills or tools are needed-just a willingness to help out. There is something for everyone! If construction isn't your "thing", we have a need for individuals or groups who are willing to provide and serve lunches to the workers on certain dates. And it goes without saying that prayers and financial donations are always needed.
