Beginning in Fall 2022, we will offer Confirmation preparation only for those parishioners in 10th grade or beyond. This is in compliance with a new directive from Bishop Zarama. The new directive applies only to those who have not begun the sacramental preparation process. Young people currently engaged in preparation here at the parish will continue toward Confirmation as scheduled. This includes those who are planning to celebrate this October and those who registered but are not yet ready to celebrate Confirmation. To read Bishop Zarama's letter to priests, click here.
If you're an adult who hasn't celebrated Confirmation, please visit our Confirmation for Adults page.
Preparation consists of formation in one of our three models for Faith Formation. In addition to this basic faith formation, intentional preparation for Confirmation occurs at home. This intentional preparation involves not merely the child, but the parents as well. This formal preparation includes family work in additional texts, parent information meetings, family participation in our Confirmation Retreats, and the celebration of Confirmation.
