We’re delighted to welcome your family to our parish’s preparation to celebrate First Reconciliation and First Eucharist! In the Diocese of Raleigh, this preparation is a two-year process. Most children begin in first grade and culminate in the celebration of First Eucharist after Easter, near the end of second grade. Do note that we warmly welcome children beyond first grade to begin this two-year preparation, whenever the Spirit moves!
Please read the First Reconciliation page for details about preparation.
Year two of this two-year process requires faith formation classes, as well as formal sacramental preparation. This formal preparation includes family work in additional texts, parent information meetings, as well as family participation in our First Reconciliation Workshop and First Eucharist Retreat.
Starting in the fall of 2017, all children of the parish who are in year one or year two of preparation should register for sacramental preparation.
The first step in moving into the formal preparation stage is completing our online registration form.
SRCS parents: Each sacramental prep year, register online. This is in addition to your normal school registration.
CFF parents: When you register online for faith formation, check the Sacramental Prep box.
SRCS: The books ($35) are included in your school fees. The remaining fee of $15 will be split over the two years, $7.50 each year.
CFF: The total fee of $50 will be split over the two years, $25 each year.
