We’re delighted to welcome your family to our parish’s preparation to celebrate First Reconciliation and First Eucharist! In the Diocese of Raleigh, this preparation is a two-year process. The traditional track begins in first grade and culminates in the celebration of First Eucharist after Easter, near the end of second grade. Do note that we warmly welcome children beyond first grade to begin this two-year preparation, whenever the Spirit moves!
Year one of this two-year process requires participation in faith formation (whether that be weekdays in our parish school, or on Sundays in our parish faith formation program). Year two of this two-year process requires the same, as well as formal sacramental preparation. This formal preparation includes family work in additional texts, plus family participation in our First Reconciliation Workshop and First Eucharist Retreat.
All children of the parish, who’ve completed year one of this two-year process, are invited to register for year two’s formal preparation. The requisite online registration form may be accessed by clicking this link. This one form is used for all sacramental preparation registration (Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Confirmation). Thank you for the blessing of traveling this journey with your family!
