February 10th Meeting: Preparing the Church
Ever notice the colors of the church change, the flowers are always fresh, and the décor of the church helps us focus on Christ? The Art & Environment committee makes sure the church is decorated and ready every week. Get a sneak peek into the behind-the-scenes labor of love of preparing our church.
February 28th Evening Meeting at 6:00 pm: What Our Kids Need to Know About Authentic Love
Our present-day culture puts a strong emphasis on an understanding of self. Identity is certainly a buzzword, but it is hardly a new phenomenon. Our faith has long taught us that we all are beloved children of God, and from that basic understanding, everything else falls into place, or at least it should. Much of the confusion in today’s world about identity reflects how we have lost sight of what it truly means to be made in God's image. Thankfully, one man lovingly unpacked the complex meaning of our humanity years ago and presented a series of catechetical talks which became known as the book, Man and Woman, He Created Them: A Theology of the Body. Come learn how Pope St. John Paul II’s pinnacle work sets forth tangible means of helping us and in turn, our children, understand authentic love and how to find true happiness.
We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to have a tour of the Catholic Center and a talk on the structure of the Catholic Church! Due to the limited space, we need to limit the number of attendees and will need reservation via the sign up genius below. We are meeting at the Catholic Center Chapel at 9:30 am. The tour and talk will be over by 11:30 am. Address is 7200 Stonehenge Dr Raleigh, NC 27613
Evening Meeting:
March 21st at 6:00 pm in room 112: Our Lady of Medjugorje

April 7th Meeting: Enter to worship – Exit to Serve
Entering a sacred space allows for an openness to experience something greater. Moments of sacredness bring about moments of reflection. Learn how God’s purpose for us is discovered when we enter and experience a place of worship and help us more fully understand how to serve God.
