Kristine has been a member of Saint Raphael since she was in junior high school, when she and her family moved from NY to Raleigh. She had always wanted to serve on the Pastoral Council and feels that the Holy Spirit compelled her to raise her hand and share her gifts with her church family. She is currently serving her second term on the Pastoral Council.
As a young adult, Kristine was involved with bible study and other small, faith-formation groups at Saint Raphael. She joined the reader ministry at that time, too, and has served as a reader during Mass for the better part of 20 years. Kristine shares, “I am very humbled and honored to participate in Mass and proclaim the word of God.”
Kristine and her husband David were married in the St. Raphael chapel in 2008 surrounded by a small group of family and friends.
Kristine has a master’s degree in Microbial Biotechnology and an MBA from NC State University. She has a passion for data analytics and loves to use data to drive decision making. She had an opportunity to leverage this skill set by helping to design, implement, and analyze the parishioner survey that was conducted in 2023, and she will continue to help drive similar initiatives during her second term on the council.
The Saint Raphael parish has always been a part of Kristine’s life. She says it is “where I come when I want to be part of a community yet feel at home.” Her one wish for the Saint Raphael community is that the Church could serve to bring us all closer to God and to each other.
