We’d like to welcome everyone to St. Raphael parish. It doesn’t matter if you’re scoping out a new parish, visiting with relatives, or got confused on your way to the Baptists down the street. If you come to Mass every week, we trust that this week’s worship experience will be one that feeds your soul and connects you with others. If it’s been awhile since you’ve been to church, hey we’re delighted you joined us today! We promise no guilt trips, just a warm joy that you gave us a try. If you’re exploring or feel a bit confused, relax and just be in the moment. There’s plenty of time for questions and conversations. We’ve got some comfortable resources that you might find helpful. (Check out the Welcome Table in the atrium). If you’re feeling disconnected to the worship experience and your mind wanders, rest assured even the regulars get distracted sometimes and…..make grocery lists while praying. You may have come just to avoid a hassle, sorry about that. You might be here going through the motions having emotionally and spiritually ‘checked out’ awhile back. Just because your faith life seems dull or lifeless, doesn’t mean it has to stay that way. The important part is you are here, it’s a toe in the water, a step toward a journey, and it’s a good thing. You may have come because you’re hurting and you want to hear how God’s going to help you. Maybe you need to yell at him, it’s okay, He can take it. Whatever brought you to our door, please know that we’re just like you, trying to find and live in God’s grace. We’re each working to build our relationships with Christ, the Holy Spirit and Our Father. Trust us, they’ll work with you too, and so will we.
